I like to pretend that you love everything about me, faults and all.
I like to pretend that you're scared to tell me the truth because you don't wanna lose me.
I like to pretend that I'm everything you ever wanted.
Then reality hits.
I realize that you never look twice at me.
I realize you have no interest in me, and that I'm not your type.
You're not afraid of losing me.
The truth hurts. When it hits me, I start drowning in the fear that I'll never get out of this rut, and I'll never be loved by someone like you.
But then I'll remember the wise words I've heard from friends. I'll remember how much they care about me, and that's a lot more important to me anyways. I'll think about how they've told me I'm over-exaggerating and that I'll find someone someday. They tell me to not give up on love, and to keep searching. There's nothing wrong with waiting. I'll find that someone. I know they're out there. Til then, I have to remember that _I just haven't met you yet..._"
